In the above pictures Margaret Jane Glozier and Bunny Crowe are praying over the Prayer shawls & throws made by the Thursday night Women's Group. This ministry touches those that participate in it as much as those who are on the receiving end.
We ask for others in the congregation to give us names of people
they think should be given a shawl or throw. The reasons for receiving
one differ; illness/hospitalization, shut-ins, caregivers, those going
through trials of all kinds.
Margaret Jane keeps us organized and gives us leadership with the prayer shawl ministry. Betty Weaver does the embroidery of the UM emblem on the shawls. Everyone participagtes in cutting out the shawls, tying the knots and prayer.
